Emergance

Surrounded by the protection, nothing can hurt or damage. There is constant and assured safety under the cover of the smooth surface of the shell. Gradually, as time progresses, the shell becomes a hinderence. The shell strains to withhold the shifting beneath it, stretching to contain the increasing mass.

The day comes. The shell has finally broken. And yet it has been encased for so long, there is still hesitation. The blinding light pours through the rift.
